Chrome

Google's browser Chrome has just been released today on Mac and Linux OSs.

Is this not the fastest, most reliable browser out there.

It definitely is. Enjoy my Linux friends.

Micron's New SSDs

I hope they work much better than OCZs SSDs.

Please work better.

Take a look at how happy this guys is!

Apple - VAR Corporate Enemy

Why aren't VARs scared of Apple?

According to Tom's Hardware, the new Apple Tablet will be $800-$1000, isn't this much much cheaper than Fujitsu's tablet: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/Apple-tablet-wintek-Dynapack,8661.html

Let's not forget that Apple's has always had superior touch-screen technology and engineering.

Fujitsu, watch out! Just saying.

How ugly is that one!

VARs

When did VARs stop pushing the best technology on their clients, in lieu of the cheapest.

The days of high margins on hardware are out, but the days of high-volume, no-margin are in.

Let's just say this, if you are a VAR today and selling equipment, you have to sell 300-400 systems to make monthly quota.

How about we move the industry to a high-margin industry, and out of the commodities.

Guys, lets push servers and storage.

Here's where we make money!!

More for more, and not less for less.

Intel Xeon W5590

If you want blazing speed, QPI and Hyper-Threading, you should look at deploying the W5590 Xeon in your next server.

The Cost is an astronomical $1,699, but worth it.

If you need the best, fastest and most reliable CPU, choose it.

It might not be a volume driver for you, but it is a margin driver.

FEMA and Red Cross - Mobile Server

Alert, when you're out in the field rescuing the latest victims of a hurricane or flood, relief workers desperately need to set up a network.

FEMA and the Red Cross have been turning to the Mobile Server concept.

Mobile Server:

A laptop capable of running multiple virtual systems including OS, .net applications, database; all without having crashes.

The Eurocom solution is a laptop with Server-Capabilities.

It supports the Hyper-Threading from Intel and Hyper-V from Windows Server 2008, which makes it the most powerful platform.

So you are thinking of adopting a Mobile Server, but are unsure if it can perform.

Here are some points our clients are telling us about:

1. Much easier to carry on site
2. Cheaper than shipping 1U, 2U or 3U servers.
3. Performance increases in mission-critical applications.

This is a new technology, but one your organization might not be able to live without.

See my updates later today on how to deploy these systems.

Welcome To My Blog

Hi All,

Welcome to my Blog.

I will be posting info about the movements into Mobile Server and Mobile Workstation technology emerging in the hardware market.

I will be commenting on the reseller and system builder market and ways we can earn more revenue and margin in our respected industries.

Finally, I will be documenting the sales cycles, as we introduce new, untested products to corporate clients. There will be challenges and successes to winning new accounts, and I will document what works, and what doesn't.
